Employee of The Month – November 2023

As a company we strive to recognise the expertise of our staff, especially those that have acted over and above the requirements of their job. We therefore run an Employee of the month scheme, where any employee can be nominated. A panel will then decide a winner who will get a letter of commendation and a reward as recognition of their hard work.

Employee of the month for November was Tracy Anderson from Manston Terrace. Tracy was nominated for a number of reasons including:

  • Having an amazing team spirit, supporting everyone in anything they may need
  • Nothing is ever too much for Tracy and she is a truly supportive staff member
  • The children have got a lovely bond with Tracy and adore her, they will shout her name loudly and invite her to their play
  • Tracy has recently redecorated the staff room to lift the staff’s Christmas spirit

Employee of the Month – October 2023

A panel will then decide a winner who will get a letter of commendation and a reward as recognition of their hard work.

Employee of the month for October was Shannon Walsh from Mont Le Grand. Shannon was nominated for a number of reasons including:

  • Shannon always makes sure she goes above and beyond within her role, she is always fully of joy and so happy the whole time she is at work
  • Shannon has recently changed her working days/hours to support her room and is always asking if there is anything more she can do to help the nursery out
  • Shannon goes out of her way to talk to show arounds during their visit to the nursery
  • Shannon knows all her children very well and has been supporting parents with changes of routines, checking in to see if there is anything they would like to change, or if she can offer support to both the parents and the children. She is always consistent with make sure parents are kept updated with information throughout the child’s day and paper work such as children observations are up to date.

Employee of the Month – September 2023

As a company we strive to recognise the expertise of our staff, especially those that have acted over and above the requirements of their job. We therefore run an Employee of the month scheme, where any employee can be nominated. A panel will then decide a winner who will get a letter of commendation and a reward as recognition of their hard work.

Employee of the month for September was Kelly Orchard from Sowton. Kelly was nominated for a number of reasons including:

  • Stepping up in the baby room, being a key consistent member of staff across the month and settling 9 new babies!
  • Working hard to build a good bond with all children.
  • Supporting children to meet small routine steps, such as, encouraging them to sit and eat at the table and suggesting ways to parents to help support their children to settle by offering similar recipes to those we have at the setting.
  • Ensuring all staff in the rooms are aware and communicating about the children’s new routines.

July and August 2023 – Employees of the Month

We therefore run an Employee of the month scheme, where any employee can be nominated. A panel will then decide a winner who will get a letter of commendation and a reward as recognition of their hard work.

Employee of the month for July was Nia Mills from Clystheath. Nia was nominated for a number of reasons including:

  • Keeping the nursery running smoothly
  • Constantly looking at ways she can improve the practice and running of our preschool room
  • Being reliable, and rarely having time off.

Joint Employee of the month for August was Daisy Bowen from Southernhay and Lauryn Hopkins from Head Office.

Daisy was nominated for:

  • Always willing to support and help out in all rooms and going above and beyond to support
  • Having an amazing bond with all the children and making sure their happiness is always the top of her priority
  • Supporting the new Level 2 Apprentices by making sure they are happy and ensuring they are support with on the job training.

Lauryn was nominated for:

  • Going above and beyond with organising the HAF programme over the summer by liaising with parents and taking bookings
  • Being on hand to cover in the office when required.

Employee of the month for June was Diana Sira from Southernhay. Diana was nominated for a number of reasons including:

  • Being reliable, enthusiastic and an invaluable member of the baby room team,
  • Full of new ideas and ways to improve experiences for the children,
  • Detailed observations about all the children which she shares with parents at collection time,
  • Always improves her own knowledge by researching things in her spare time, and being reflective on feedback from colleagues.

Employee of the month for May 2023 was Sandra Skinner from Sowton. Sandra was nominated for going above and beyond to support the nursery. The nursery has been having lots of new children start and Sandra, who usually supports in our kitchen, has been on hand to support the rooms and help to ensure the children’s needs are being met. Sandra is a great asset to the Sowton team who all value her very much.
